Collecting membership feedback can be very useful to many organizations, to help, a ballot can be set up to collect feedback from voters without needing to make a selection on a formal ballot question. If you are looking to collect feedback as part of a ballot question where voters are required to make a selection, please see Ask for Comments.
Setup
From "Position or Question Type", choose Nominations, then select Continue.
In "Add Question Details", enter a Question Title, then select Continue.
Configure the ballot options in the below two areas;
Voters nominate
- Can be customized by selecting “Other”.
- Enter a custom text or leave it blank.
- Unselect "Capture Nominations" so nominations are no longer required
Question settings
- Enable "Ask for comments" in the question settings
- The instructions for the comments box can be changed from the default instructions
- Comments are optional, so voters can submit a ballot without comments
